Baechle, EdD, CSCS,*D; NSCA-CPT,*D, is the executive director of the National Strength fitness professional training and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certification Commission. He is the cofounder fitness professional training and past president of NSCA fitness professional training and its former director of education. In 1985 he was named the NSCA’s Strength fitness professional training and Conditioning Professional of the Year. Baechle is also the chair of the exercise science fitness professional training and athletic training department at Creighton University fitness professional training and the former exercise leader of their phase III cardiac rehabilitation program. He has received numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the NSCA fitness professional training and the Excellence in Teaching Award from Creighton University. For 16 years, Baechle competed successfully in weightlifting fitness professional training and powerlifting, setting various Midwest records. For more than 20 years he coached collegiate powerlifting teams, strength-trained athletes, fitness professional training and taught weight training classes.
